The Government's new career quiz works out the job for you...but it might not be what you expect

The National Careers Service have launched a brand new jobs tool to help you work out the careers you're best suited to.

This comes after Chancellor Rishi Sunak suggested that workers in some industries, including the Arts, might need to reassess their career choices in a post-COVID world. "I can't pretend that everyone can do exactly the same job they were doing at the beginning of this crisis", Sunak told ITV News, "That's why we've put a lot of resources into trying to create new opportunities."

The assessment takes 5-10 minutes and asks a range of questions to determine the fields of industry and specific jobs that suit your skill-set.

Sounds helpful, right?

Apparently not, as the quiz has received more attention for telling people they should retrain as boxers and fairground workers than actually offering some sound career advice. Some were even told that there were no job categories suited to them based on their answers. Thanks for the encouragement, Rishi.

So take the quiz if you need some more clarity on what career options might suit you, but at your own risk. Put it this way, you don't *have* to quit your degree and retrain as an Aromatherapist just because the Government said so.

In the meantime, here's some of the best results we've seen so far...
