New research by employment website Glassdoor has revealed the companies offering their employees the best work-life balance in the UK, with Newcastle-based Northern Gas and Power taking the top spot.

Skyscanner, Bank of England and Purplebricks also feature in the top 20 highest rated companies for allocating as much importance to life outside the office as in.
