Knowing you're competing with an unknowable amount of other applicants for a role is, arguably, one of the most off-putting things about applying for jobs.
Maybe you're convinced someone will have more experience than you, or they'll come across better in their CV, or they'll simply get their application in faster.
Whatever the reason, the fear that one of your fellow job hunters will pip you to the post for a job you really want can be enough to make you not want to go to the effort of applying.
It will perhaps interest you to know, then, that new data from recruitment website Indeed has revealed the jobs that have the least competition in the UK.
With almost fifty per cent of roles still open after sixty days, Football coach tops the list of the least competitive jobs out there. Other hard to fill roles include Graduate assistant, Dog walker and Secondary teacher.
Before you start sending your CV off for them all, it's worth noting that several of the roles in the study, such as Dentist and Surgeon, require highly-skilled applicants, so although they're less competitive, they're not necessarily easy to get.
Bill Richards, UK Managing Director at Indeed said:
"While some require highly specialised skills, others do not; and with potentially lower levels of competition and some tempting salaries on offer, landing one of these jobs could boost both your career and your bank balance."
