Tell all your friends. Tell your boss. It's national 4pm finish day.

You read that right: this Friday, September 15th, sees your weekend start an hour earlier - assuming your company participates.

It seems the campaign was originated by Red Bull. As reported by Wales Online, a spokesperson for the company said:

"#4pmFinish isn't about slacking off, it's about being more productive. It's a day where we all head out of the office a bit earlier so we can do more of the things that are important to us after being more productive with our time in the office."

The importance of a healthy work-life balance has long been noted. More hours spent in the office, without breaks or time to relax, does not necessarily equal more productivity and work completed.

This study found that the majority of bosses believed cutting the work day to six hours, down from eight, would be better for business. You can show it to your boss if they need some convincing...

Naturally, lots of people on social media are already onboard with the idea.
