In 2020, Spencer Ogden was ranked number 7 in the annual 2020 Profit Track 100 in association with the Sunday Times. The league table ranks Britain’s 100 private companies with the fastest-growing profits over their last three years.

 

2. Learning and Development

Our global award-winning learning and development function is designed to give all our people the opportunity to thrive in their chosen roles at Spencer Ogden.

We have a team of experienced in-house learning and development consultants to support your people’s journey and growth with us. The team has a combination of 50 years’ industry experience and are regionally based to provide local support.

Our world-class training programs consists of a blend of development initiatives, including our global e-learning platform, the Pod, modulated classroom training, mentor support, skills assessment and dedicated coaching from the team.

And nothing changed in 2020, the Learning and Development team ran 31 virtual training Academies as well as continuing one-to-one coaching, mentoring support and continuing to add bespoke Spencer Ogden content to the Pod (41 new items!).

 

3. Career Progression

We offer unparalleled progression opportunities. From day one, no matter what level you join us at, you will understand how you can progress within our business and all the available opportunities.

Our people are provided with transparent career framework and associated development plan that clearly outlines what they nee to do in order to achieve their next promotion.

In 2020, 82 of our people were promoted.

 

4. New office launch

Over the past 10 years, the rapid growth we have seen is a result of us being a people-orientated business. 

In 2020, we relaunched our Glasgow office, Spencer Ogden’s 11th global office and our third office in the EMEA region.

The premise of this office is to allow Spencer Ogden to take advantage of the natural growth opportunity that Scotland presents in the sustainable energy sector. 

The office relaunch will continue the expansion of our global operations and support Spencer Ogden’s growth journey and part of that is looking at growing headcount in 2021. Glasgow is a city with five universities, creating great opportunity for potential consultants to join the business.
