Jobs Celebs Did Before They Were Famous

We've all got to start somewhere, and for these celebs it wasn't the most glamorous of beginnings!

1. Prior to taking the cinematic world by storm, Johnny Depp was a pen salesman. It was thanks to Nicholas Cage that he turned his ink stained hand to acting. Thanks Nick.

2. Rachel McAdams worked in McDonalds when she was 16, though admits she wasn't a great employee. In fact, a lot of celebs worked at the fast food chain, see them all here

3. Jim Carrey worked as a cleaner in a factory. We bet that he managed to make even that job entertaining!

4. Christopher Walken was once a lion tamer. Now that's one for the CV.

5. Whoopi Goldberg is a trained Beautician and put her skills to good use on dead people. Yep, that's right, she was a Mortuary Beautician.

6. Jon Bon Jovi spent his summers making Christmas decorations - probably where his inspiration for his glitter filled and colourful outfits came from!

7. Victoria Beckham was apparently a roller skating sperm in the pre Spice Girls era. We're not quite sure what to make of that...

8. Demi Moore was a debt collector.

9. Hugh Jackman earned $50 as Coco the Clown, stating that 'I just love making a fool out of myself'. He was also a PE teacher at Uppingham School - is there anything this man can't do?

10. We may all know Rachel from Friends as a waitress, but turns out Jennifer Aniston waited tables for a while before she became a star. She also worked as a telemarketer!

11. Growing up George Clooney worked in department store stockrooms. He also cut tobacco earning $3 an hour. If this wasn't enough, he also tried out to play professional baseball with the Cincinnati Reds in 1977, but didn't make the cut. He turned out ok though.

12. Megan Fox dressed up as a piece of fruit (a banana) in order to promote a smoothie company. The best (or worst) part, Fox says, was that the face was cut out, so there was no anonymity - “My friends from school would drive back and forth and yell all kinds of awesome obscenities at me." We're guessing that doesn't happen so much now.

13. Fitness fanatic, Madonna used to work as a Dunkin’ Donuts cashier - who would have thought it? Apparently she was fired on her first day for squirting donut jam on customers. Seems a little harsh.

14. Rod Stewart also had something of a macabre job - he worked as a gravedigger before becoming a music legend.

15. Eva Mendes previously worked at the Hot Dog on a Stick counter at a Los Angeles shopping centre, where she earned around $4.25 per hour.

Even if these weren't the most appealing of jobs, we bet every celeb has something to say about what it taught them! On that note, do you know what your stop gap job has taught you? It's probably more than you think.
