Be a Trip Leader

Are you ready for an adventure? Lead trips across Europe and take your passion for travel and culture to the next level.

How and Why You Should Apply

  • • Competitive salary
  • • Travel the continent
  • • Opportunities for career progression within the company

What you will be doing

As a Trip Leader you are at times an educator, a friend, a counsellor, a parent, a guidebook, an events planner and always a positive influence on the group.

  • You will work closely with your fellow crew members to take passengers between destinations and introduce them to the countries and cities of Europe
  • You will be responsible for the day-to-day running of our trips
  • You will liaise with suppliers and manage all trip expenses
  • You will initiate group activities
  • You will provide 'inside tips’ to passengers, assisting them to plan their own free time
  • You will inform passengers about Europe, as well as conducting driving or walking tours
  • You will socialise with passengers and provide pastoral support where needed.

What you will have

We look for people with a genuine passion for travel and a desire to share that passion with others. We also look for people with a strong sense of professionalism, who recognise that this is not a paid holiday, but rather a lifestyle job that is both challenging and extremely rewarding.

You will need to possess or be eligible for a UK or EU passport. We are unable to accept applications from those with Tier 5 Youth Mobility or UK Ancestry visa as unfortunately these visas restrict movement in the Schengen Zone to 90 days which is less than our season requirements. It is up to Crew to ensure their own eligibility and passports must be acquired before our training begins in April 2020.

We process applications in the order they are received, therefore if you apply earlier on in the process you have more chance of attaining an interview.

  • You are passionate about our product and the people who travel with us
  • You are enthusiastic and motivated to continue to learn
  • You are willing to work hard and approach all challenges with a problem-solving spirit
  • You are organised and on-time, with the ability to remain flexible where needed
  • You are a team player, willing to go above and beyond for fellow crew and passengers.
  • You are confident in public speaking
  • You are experienced to deal with difficult situations that occur on the road
  • You are aged 23 or over
  • You are interested in European history, culture and have travelled in Europe
  • You are able to work in the UK and Europe.
Onwards to our company and culture…

We are Topdeck Travel

We love to inspire young people through life-changing travel experiences across the globe.

Our job every day is to ensure that thousands of young people have the trip of a lifetime experience, and nothing feels as good as that.

Our vision is to become the global leader in youth travel, delivering an amazing product and unforgettable experiences for our passengers all over the world. We bring young people aged 18 - 30 together on their trip of a lifetime, anywhere from New Zealand to North Africa

With a variety of adventures taking place across the year, we cover more destinations than you can poke a selfie stick at - these include larger-than-life Eurotrips, big game safaris, American road trips, sailing voyages and other global adventures.

We offer great career opportunities to graduates in a fast-growing company that is respected in the travel industry.

We are proud to say that people work hard to support each other here: our office is open-plan and there is a sense of equality across the whole business, from our Managing Director through to brand new interns.

As well as travel, we're also passionate about food! On one day in 2016 we served 4,950 plates of food - 8kg of cheese fondue was eaten in Switzerland and 980 macaroons were served under the Eiffel Tower.

We can offer great career opportunities to graduates in a fast-growing company that is respected in the travel industry. Be part of the journey by joining our young and dynamic team, either ‘on the road’ or in our London office.

Our Graduates - Who we are

Shannon's Graduate Story

I’ve always had a passion for travel, and Topdeck has allowed me to put that passion into what I do for a living, not just in my vacation time.

I knew I’d do lots of travel, meet lots of amazing people, see lots of cool things.
