We are looking for bright, inquisitive graduates who are committed to pursuing a career in international pharmaceutical market research and consultancy.


Location: Putney, London

What you will be doing

We are offering two position types in 2019 (please refer to detail of job roles below):

• Ad hoc Research Analyst, involved in both qualitative and quantitative ad hoc research

• Syndicated Research Analyst, specialising in quantitative tracking research

We will be interviewing candidates on a rolling basis throughout May and June, with a start date any time from July onwards.

  • Ad hoc Research Analyst job role (qualitative and quantitative research)   
  • • Qualitative analysis - content analysis of qualitative in depth interviews and focus groups
  • • Quantitative analysis - coding, data / table checking, charting of quantitative data
  • • Briefing of freelancers (e.g. analysts, moderators, coders, link checkers)
  • • Drafting research materials (screeners, discussion guides, questionnaires)
  • • Face-to-face / telephone interviews with key respondents
  • • Opportunity to attend viewed research days nationally or internationally
  • • Day-to-day liaison with internal fieldwork team who oversee the management of fieldwork agencies and freelancers
  • • Trouble-shoot field problems with internal fieldwork team, suggesting solutions
  • • Ensure all fieldwork is conducted to time and budget
  • • Development of expertise and knowledge in multiple disease areas
  • • Opportunity to specialise in quantitative only research focusing on statistical analysis for those with suitable backgrounds
  • Requirements   
  • ○ You are inquisitive and want to understand the “why”
  • ○ You have good interpersonal skills and are able to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • ○ You are proactive with a can-do attitude; able to identify issues and generate solutions
  • ○ You have excellent organizational skills, are able to multi-task whilst maintaining a high level of focus on each task
  • ○ You are creative and like seeking out novel solutions to client problems
  • ○ You are numerate with a high degree of accuracy
  • ○ You have, or are predicted, a 2.1 or 1st class honours degree (or equivalent) and have A-Level grades A*-C (or equivalent)
  • ○ Ideally you have a degree in the sciences, management, social sciences (including history, geography and politics), mathematics or modern languages, but we are open to degrees from any background.
  • Syndicated Research Analyst job role (quantitative tracking research) Responsibilities include   
  • • Draft quantitative research materials (screeners, questionnaires) and the resulting data collection script using Confirmit®
  • • Validate and implement quality control checks on data collected which feeds our web-based interactive client dashboards
  • • Learning to use SPSS® to produce, edit and check tables – quantitative output
  • • Designing and populating disease specific reports for subscribing clients
  • • Day-to-day liaison and management of internal fieldwork team and freelancers (e.g. recruiters, software developers)
  • • Act as main contact / bridge between Project Manager and internal fieldwork team
  • • Development of expertise and knowledge in a specific disease areas
  • • Opportunity to attend client meetings nationally or internationally to de-brief research outputs.

What we do

• We support our clients in a consulting fashion, looking to address their key strategic marketing and commercial challenges from a research perspective 

• Develop market research methodologies (qualitative and quantitative) to help answer clients’ key research objectives (for instance, using face-to-face interviews, focus groups or online questionnaires)

• Conduct and oversee the research (e.g. by interviewing a sample of doctors, nurses or patients in each of the relevant countries), with partner fieldwork agencies 


• Analyse the data (including translated interviews, data tables) to produce results

• Interpretation of the results to understand what this means for clients’ short- and long-term business goals 

• Present these results to the client in the form of creative presentations or through interactive online charts In the pharmaceutical industry, market research is highly valued as all decisions are a result of market research input and consultation. You are therefore a key player in the marketing mix.
