We have opportunities available within all three of our companies - Threefold, Lobster and Capture - in Liverpool, London and Manchester. You'll start your journey in one of our Client teams, working directly with FMCG brands or major retailers, creating exciting and engaging campaigns that will be live across a number of grocers and stores across the UK.

A solid grasp of marketing is essential in this role. We are proud of the quality of our ideas, thinking and creative output at Shopper Media Group, and you will be integral in delivering outstanding campaign proposals for our client base.

I joined in 2009, having graduated from Royal Holloway with a degree in English and Drama, and I’ve now progressed to be Group Client Director of our Capture business.
I’d had some previous work experiences in the industry of advertising and marketing. When I came across Capture online I got a good feel for it, and that was confirmed on the [assessment] day.
I knew I wanted to move back to the UK to start my career here. I was open to moving anywhere in the UK, but after going to the graduate assessment day I was offered a role in Manchester and knew that’s where I wanted to be.
‘SMG’ stands for ‘Shopper Media Group’, and that’s exactly what we do. We were founded in 2008 by two guys from Dunnhumby, who were spearheading the development of Tesco’s media estate when they saw a gap in the market for an agency that specialised in shopper media and really understood the complexities behind executing a successful campaign.
Since then, we have grown across three separate agencies and locations, with over 1000 successful campaigns under our belt in less than ten years.
Our founders experienced first-hand the struggle of finding that first graduate job, and in response to this we make sure that giving opportunities to young people is at the heart of our recruitment strategy. As a result, our management teams are made almost exclusively of graduates who have grown and discovered their potential in the company.
