What you will be doing

Police Now recruits and trains outstanding graduates, so they can help transform society as neighbourhood police officers. We believe that policing is crucial in supporting some of the most vulnerable communities across England and Wales.

Not only do police officers tackle crime, they care for the communities; working with residents, stakeholders, charities and institutions to make a safe and thriving area to live and work in. In order to achieve this, our police force must be diverse, in both thought and background to be reflective of the communities we serve.

Society needs talented neighbourhood police officers as diverse as the communities they serve. The challenge is unique. The environment is fast paced. Make a positive impact on society by improving the lives of the most vulnerable and develop leadership skills for life.

Not only will you be a fully warranted and attested neighbourhood police officer on our National Graduate Leadership Programme, you will be developing vital skills in negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making. You will be emotionally intelligent, resilient and a leader. Every day you will be preventing criminals targeting the vulnerable and you’ll contribute to the increase in the public’s confidence in policing.

Onwards to our company and culture…

We are Police Now

You'll Be There

Our National Graduate Leadership Programme offers you a career opportunity like no other:

You are able to develop leadership skills in a unique environment while making a real and lasting difference to vulnerable communities that are impacted by crime.

Throughout the two-year programme, you’ll be a visible leader in your community. You’ll develop skills in negotiation, problem solving, decision-making, and emotional intelligence as a neighbourhood police officer. At the end of the two years, you will have a number of options inside policing available to you. You’ll be able to continue in a neighbourhood policing role, as well as seek promotion if you feel you have the confidence and skills to do so. You may also choose to leave policing to use the skills and experience you’ve developed in a different role or sector.

Since 2015, we have recruited, trained and developed over 1,000 police officers, posting them in neighbourhood roles in some of the country’s most deprived communities. Our highly competent graduates play an important role in supporting the nation’s police in their efforts to increase the number of officers across England and Wales, and to drive results.

You’ll be there: to act, when action is needed; protect, when protection is required; drive change, when change is necessary.
