What you will be doing

At Pernod Ricard, we’re ambitious about how we use digital to engage with our consumers and partners across the world. We have invested in a number of new exciting platforms to raise the portfolio of our world class wine, spirit and champagne brands, which include Absolut, Havana Club, Malibu, Jameson, The Glenlivet, Perrier-Jouët and Jacob’s Creek.

Supporting the Digital Team, you’ll help to create content and execute strategies to promote such products, making a significant contribution to the way they are marketed and to achieving our business objectives.

You will be set objectives at the beginning of the placement, which not only focus on our business needs but also guarantee to accelerate your professional development. At every step of the way, you’ll have hands-on support from your line manager, as well as regular development and progress reviews. Below, is a taster of just some of the activities you’ll get to take on during your placement year:

  • You will manage and upload content – new products, articles, videos and images – to our websites
  • You will source and collate assets for Pernod Ricard UK ecommerce platforms. This will include liaising with designers, agencies and internal brand teams to produce suitable assets for our campaigns
  • You will ensure all brand and product information on our websites is up-to-date and accurate
  • You will assist in budget reconciliation for web development and content creation
  • You will build and manage email campaigns and content strategies
  • You will assist with a variety of mini-projects, such as consumer journey planning and review, monitoring competition activity and examining wider industry trends
  • You will produce presentations and updates for internal and external stakeholders
  • You will continuously review the performance of our websites through Google Analytics and Hotjar, report on your findings and produce recommendations based on them
  • You will pro-actively suggest ways to improve consumer journeys on the website

What you will have

We’re looking for someone who has recently graduated with a 2:1 or above in a Marketing, Business or Management related degree. You will have a strong academic track record and a minimum of 300 UCAS points over three subjects at A Level (or equivalent).

In addition to this, you should be available to work for 12 months from July 2017 and be able to show the following:

  • You have an understanding marketing analytics and be familiar with tools such as Google Analytics and Hotjar
  • You have an understanding of electronic Customer Relationship Management platforms (e.g. Salesforce)
  • You have a basic knowledge of HTML
  • You have an entrepreneurial spirit and business mind set
  • You have a ‘can-do’ and resourceful attitude
  • You have an inquisitive mind, with a desire to learn new things
  • You have great attention to detail
  • You have a passion for digital marketing/e-commerce plus you are digitally savvy
  • You have the eligibility to work and live in the UK for the duration of the placement, without any restrictions.
