What you will be doing

We are keen to hire a motivated Team Assistant who will be responsible for admin and support to a variety of central functions. You will be reporting to our HR Manager and supporting HR, Learning and Development, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Marketing and Compliance. This includes taking an active role in the Health and Safety function of the office and proactively identifying ways to improve our office environment, including structure, layout, look and feel.

Whilst based in our London office there will be opportunities to partner with international offices if and when needed. You will be a role model or ambassador for Nicoll Curtin through your behaviour and communication with both internal and external stakeholders.

  • You will have full responsibility for our visitor experience, ensuring they are welcomed promptly and all meeting rooms are equipped and ready for use
  • You will maintain and organise our office facilities, ensuring all is in working order and office supplies are well stocked
  • You will lead, plan and organise company events
  • You will maintain the company’s social media presence and assist in ongoing marketing activities and defined marketing projects
  • You will ensure all Head Office IT equipment is reliable and fit for purpose, resolve any IT queries/problems that have been escalated & provide general IT support 
  • You will provide support to the People Ops team which covers employee onboarding/offboarding, ad hoc support for assessment centres, phone and CRM systems, PowerPoint presentations, booking candidate interviews, shortlisting candidates and other internal recruitment activities where needed

What you will have

This role will suit someone who is hard working and proactive. Advanced Microsoft Office skills (particularly Word, PowerPoint, Excel) are essential.

We are keen to take someone on who naturally wants to assist multiple stakeholders. The role is varied and will lead to broad exposure in an office environment.

  • You have a 2:1 degree or above from any discipline and any university
  • You have work experience in a customer focused environment (preferably team assistant, executive assistant or PA experience but this is not essential)
  • You have a high level of attention to detail
  • You have excellent communication and relationship building skills, as you will be regularly reporting to business leadership on the progress of office projects
  • You have demonstrable planning and organisation skills, both in managing your own time and supporting others
  • You have experience of using social media as a preference – LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter in particular
    You have a natural desire to help and assist, and a proactivity to get involved in many activities and projects at once
  • You are able to work independently, taking ownership for the maintenance and continual improvement of our Head Office environment
    You are able to work to project deadlines whilst managing day-to-day responsibilities and other ad-hoc tasks as required.
