What you will be doing

This is an exciting time for Murray McIntosh, as we seek to further develop our expertise and service offering.

We are looking for grads to join us in our Reading office, where they will have the chance to specialise in sourcing talent within the following sectors: Engineering; Financial Services; Policy and Public Affairs and Information Technology.

Development here is a unique combination of in-house support, external training and clear career goals from the outset. We also hold accreditation from the Institute of Recruitment Professionals and will support you to gain your own formal, professional qualifications too. With us, you know you'll be training with the experts.

  • You will be tasked with winning business and managing assignments from inception to completion
  • You will have a direct input into the formulation of individual revenue and billing targets, as part of an overall business plan
  • You will identify target companies and collect any information relevant to an assignment
  • You will network with contacts and candidates in order to gain feedback on a specific role, as well as staying up to date with the latest activities and developments within our chosen sectors
  • You will attend, organise and run candidate sourcing activities and meetings
  • You will attend and contribute to client briefings

What you will have

We’re looking for hard-working grads who are passionate about our two of our main specialisms: Policy (if you’ve studied Politics, Business or International Relations - or have an interest in these areas - then you’re perfect) and Engineering (ideally, you’ll have an Engineering or Business Management degree).

As well as this, you should be able to show the following:

  • You have strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships and credibility with a variety of stakeholders
  • You are organised and structured, with the ability to think strategically
  • You are career-minded and ambitious
  • You are able to influence internal and external stakeholders
  • You are degree educated, or hold relevant Sales experience.
