What you will be doing

An exciting opportunity has arisen for driven, hardworking Paralegals to join a growing claims team within a dynamic and innovative legal firm based in Alderley Edge.

In the role, you will be responsible for litigating claims for mortgage payment errors as well as filing and managing the claims using a proprietary claims management system. This is an opportunity to be part of a pilot team of Paralegals for a project due to expand rapidly in the near future.

This is a 12 month minimum contract, with likely extension. 

  • You will provide a high level of client service, including responding to ad hoc information, document preparation and research requests
  • You will check legal documents for quality, consistency and content
  • You will develop cases by maintaining contact with all involved parties
  • You will write letters before action (LBAs)
  • You will review settlement offers
  • You will type up and filing legal documents and correspondence
  • You will review and reporting on claims
  • You will draft and producing legal documentation
  • You will work to deadlines and coordinating calendars
  • You will maintain communication with clients and informing them of updates and case progress
  • You will utilise Claims Management Systems to progress cases to completion

What you will have

  • You have a Law degree (or equivalent)
  • You have 3+ months of litigation paralegal experience
  • You have experience within claims handling and using a cloud based on-line litigation process advantageous
  • You have an attentive eye to detail, with strong writing, numerical and communication skills
  • You have excellent organisational skills and ability to work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment
