What you will be doing

With 26 million customers and 1 million businesses across the UK, we’re constantly staying one step ahead by using the latest technology and offering innovative products to meet their diverse needs. That’s what our Retail Customers and Products teams help us do. They manage anything from new credit cards to digital marketing strategies, and now we’re searching for new talent to join them. If you’re interested in building a career with impact – we have a job for you. And the great news is you don’t need a business or finance degree to work with us.

About the programme

Over two years, you’ll complete three eight-month placements in different locations around the UK. You’ll work in customer and product-focused areas, build your understanding of how our customers behave and develop specialist insights and leadership skills.

Day to day you could be:

• Developing innovative customer products and services

• Gathering and analysing powerful insights about our customers

• Supporting our marketing strategy for brands like Halifax, Bank of Scotland and Lloyds Bank

• Assessing and maintaining our existing products to make sure they’re continually meeting our customers’ needs

What you will have

If you’re passionate about researching trends, analysing behaviour and implementing new ideas, you’ll make a big impact in our Retail Customers and Products teams. With over 12,000 colleagues in the division and 10 different business areas, you’ll gain insights into how we design and develop products and services, and play a big part in delivering them in areas like marketing, mortgages, car leasing and more.

We’ll also support you to complete a CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting and offer you the chance to lead on UK community volunteering initiatives. By joining the Retail Customers and Products programme, you’ll become an expert in a range of next-generation financial products as well as customer behaviours and insights.

You’ll need:

• A 2:2 degree or above in any discipline from any university and an open mind


• We’ll support you to achieve a CIMA Certificate in Business Accounting
