Work alongside top Consultants and develop your own career with this tight-knit team in the heart of London.
We start everybody off with an intensive two week training period where you are trained by most members of the team. This is quite full on, and we don't expect you will remember everything, but we like everybody to have an overview of all processes from the start. From then on it's learning on the job, but we're all here to help!
From the moment people start working with us they are fully involved in the team. We have a very flat structure, we all work closely together, and we sit in an open plan environment, so you will be instantly exposed to everything going on.
We have a clear processes handbook, and you will have regular meetings with Sivan and another team leader to check on progress. We also issue everybody with detailed My Role documents which show you exactly what day-to-day duties should be, and also give clear targets for progression.
For us, it's your attitude that is the most important. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate the following in their CV and cover letter, whether it's from their extra-curricular interests, previous work or their degree studies:
[Our boss] always rewards us and looks after us when we work hard… it’s a great culture to be part of.
Our compassion and consideration underpins everything we do - from bi-annual scholarships to step-by-step growth plans for every team member.
We are a close-knit team of 12 working on both permanent and temporary roles. Our offices are stunning and based in swanky Mayfair, behind the Gagosian gallery.
Unlike other agencies, consultants do not ‘own’ candidates. Instead we work collaboratively to find the best job for them, which ultimately means our candidates' and clients’ needs are met and are central to everything we do. It also makes for a real sense of team spirit within the office.
We are entirely committed to quality of service and pride ourselves on offering a personalised experience to all our clients and candidates. To achieve this we are all driven by maintaining the company values; being efficient, passionate, innovative, commercial and considerate.
Having happy clients and candidates genuinely makes it all worth it for us, and we go above and beyond every day to ensure this happens. We believe that all this needs to be done with a smile on our faces though, so we have fun at work and thrive on being a close and supportive team. Attitude is everything to us and we will always hire based on this over experience.
Every 6 months we run the Jossie scholarship: everyone on the team presents something they have always wanted to do or get involved with (from sky diving and guitar lessons to climbing Kilamanjaro) and we all take a vote on the winner. £1000 is up for grabs to be put towards something you might never have been able to do before.
Other office traditions include the occasional dog drop-in, yearly trips, quarterly fun nights out (Crystal Maze, theatre trips etc) and more.
Every month we have a roundup of our company targets so that everybody is well aware of how the business is doing. We also love to celebrate with each other, so employment milestones are marked with a gift structure for time in service and by company announcements for strong performance.
Annually we work towards a big trip which is target-driven: recent examples have been New York, Barcelona, and Le Manoir aux Quat'Saisons, complete with a Raymond Blanc cookery school. This year, we're working hard towards a team ski trip.
We set clear goals and guidelines for everybody, so they know exactly what they need to achieve to [progress] their career.
Each year we’re set a target – if we hit it, we get to go on an amazing trip abroad. So far we’ve been to New York, Barcelona and Paris.
My favourite thing about working here is coming in to my lovely team every day.
It’s such a small company, you get lots of hands-on experience and exposure to a huge amount.
Joss Search was founded seven years ago to change the perception of the recruitment industry and to improve the service provided to both candidates and clients.
What sets us apart from our competitors is that we specialise in working within the alternative investment sector, placing candidates into operational support roles such as PAs, Office Managers and Team Assistants.
We believe in an entrepreneurial recruitment environment which allows people to thrive, and where attitude and results drive progression. Being considerate to each other, as well as our clients and candidate, underpins everything we do here - we have a candidate sharing philosophy, which makes it easier for a client to make sure they’re getting the best person for the job.
The future holds exciting things for Joss Search, with plans to expand our industry expertise and to open new offices in Europe and New York. Graduate talent is going to be an integral part of that growth plan; we will clearly tell you what is expected of you at each stage of your career with us, and what we need to see before we can move you onwards. Once you can demonstrate that, we won't hold you back!
