incling is a young and fast growing market research consultancy that specialises in building beautiful, bespoke online communities to solve marketing, innovation and communication challenges. We’re expanding rapidly and looking for a Community Manager to join our remote team.

What you will be doing

The Role

A permanent, full-time role (subject to usual probationary period) working remotely. You will need to be connected with us online but you can pick where you want to work.

You will be the face of incling on our online communities and working as a qualitative researcher. Full training will be provided but an interest in market research and technology is essential.

Market or social research experience (either as part of your degree or work) is preferable as is a fluency in a second language, special consideration will be given to Arabic or Mandarin speakers.

Community Manager responsibilities usually includes:

  • You will attend client briefings.
  • You will be setting up online communities - keeping in line with project timelines, briefing our tech team, planning for communities in different timezones, loading activities.
  • You will ensure the community is healthy and all of the participants are engaged/ taking part.
  • You will be liaising with and updating clients on the progress and health of their community.
  • You will be liaising with participant recruiters and ensuring translators and moderators are updated to keep the project running smoothly.
  • You will be moderating comments on the community whilst using a range of qualitative moderation techniques to probe for more detail to fully understand participants motivations and needs.
  • You will be dealing with technical queries that may arise within the online community with the help of our tech team.
  • You will be downloading and organising all comments and media for clients once the project is complete.
  • You will be writing up a qualitative summary or report based on the comments provided by participants.

What skills do I need?

  • You have an interest in human behaviour and a desire to pursue qualitative research as a career.
  • You are sociable and outgoing with a friendly nature - you need to have the ability to connect with a diverse range of people online.
  • You have strong organisational and multitasking skills and a proactive approach.
  • You have a keen eye for detail.
  • You are self motivated, reliable and comfortable with working remotely.
  • You have a can do attitude and flexibility to work in a fast paced agency - this sometimes requires that you support the team outside of normal working hours.
  • You have an active profile and understanding of a range of social networking platforms and tools e.g. forums, blogs, media uploads.
  • You have excellent English skills and a great writing style (Must be able to spell and use grammar correctly!). Fluency in a second language would be preferable, particularly Mandarin or Arabic.
  • You are a team player who is reliable and flexible with availability to support the team as and when required beyond normal working hours (flexi-time).
