Join our Graduate Channel Sales Development Programme
We’re looking for high-performing graduates to drive our business forward and become future leaders within our Channel Sales Division.
What you will be doing
Who is Hilti?
Hilti is where innovation is improving productivity, safety and sustainability in the global construction industry, and beyond. Where strong customer relationships are creating solutions that build a better future. Where there is pride and a sense of belonging across our 120 locations, carrying right into our lives and homes. Where people are exploring possibilities, leveraging their potential, owning their personal development and growing lasting careers.
What's the role?
Are you looking for a graduate programme, with an award-winning employer, that will challenge you to reach your full potential?
Show us that you have what we’re looking for, and in return we’ll provide you with world-class training to support you in taking your career to the next level with a Great Place to Work certified employer.
What does the role involve?
Your first role at Hilti will be the role of a Customer Service Representative. In this role you will process calls from internal and external customers in an efficient and professional manner; you’ll be dealing with our existing corporate customers to help them with orders, as well as proactively contacting customers, using a suggestive selling approach, to offer solutions to their problems and in order to meet their business needs.
This initial landing role in customer services will arm you with the knowledge of our customers, our extensive product range and the services we offer, as well as getting to know the organisation and our ways of working - it’s a great platform on which to build your career at Hilti.
Channel Sales encompasses our Customer Service department, our internal sales team, as well as our retail network of 8 Hilti Stores across the UK, and next steps in this programme could be varied within these areas, for example Customer Services: Assistant Team Leader / Trainer; Internal Sales: Account Manager / Team Leader or Hilti Store Regional Support / Team Leader. If you perform, we’ll be looking to promote you once you’ve completed the initial 12-24month programme.
What you will have
We have an excellent mix of people and some of our best account managers joined us with no experience. So, if you’ve never worked in sales or construction, that’s fine with us. Success at Hilti is down to teamwork and ability, no matter what your background.
What we offer
We really value our people and we've worked hard to develop a reward package that reflects this. Some of our benefits include:
• Genuine career advancement (more than 80% of all leadership roles are filled internally)
• 6% employer pension contributions
• Private Health Insurance and Employee Assistance Programme
• 33 days' holiday (inc. Bank Holidays) plus the ability to purchase 5 days more annually
• Paid leave to work on charitable projects
• Hilti Benefits Box, a reward platform offering a cycle to work scheme and shopping and lifestyle discounts/cashback
• Employee Resource Groups focused on gender, mental health, race, disability and LGBTQ+ topics
We’ve just moved to our new state-of-the-art premises at Circle Square in Central Manchester, which is located a short walk from Oxford Rd train station and St Peter's Square tram stop. We'll offer a hybrid working pattern between the office and home (though you’ll need to be in the office full-time during your training period) and different ways to work flexibly so please feel free to talk about what flexibility means to you at your interview.
Why should you apply
‘I joined our Customer Services department in 2008 as a university graduate looking for a company that matched my values and career aspirations. The Customer Services role at Hilti is absolutely critical to the success of our business as providing outstanding service and developing strong relationships with our customer base is one of the key differentiators from our competition. Every single day in Customer Services I learnt something new and developed my ability to communicate effectively, problem-solve and provide outstanding service. These skills have been essential in all of the roles I have developed into at Hilti and still form the basis of my role now which is at the heart of developing our strategy across Northern Europe.’
- Matthew Balnaves, Northern Europe Trade Manager

We are Hilti
We design and manufacture leading-edge technology, software and services, which power the professional construction industry.
What we do
Everyday our technologies support awe-inspiring feats of engineering around the world from the famous bullet train in Japan to tunnels deep under some of the largest cities on earth.
We’re a one-stop shop for building, worldwide. We create technologies, software and services, which clearly stand out from the rest. We run our own research and design labs, working with top technical universities and partners, all over the world. We make our own products in Hilti factories and with external partners, making sure all our products match the same high quality and standards.
Show us what you're made of
We regularly assess our emerging talent within the business via Development Centre to give them exposure to leaders across the organisation and to feedback into their development plans. People who join Hilti share a certain mind-set. They’re driven and hard-working, and they excel at giving their best for our customers. In return, they enjoy an incredibly varied and dynamic career. Many of our people have been with us for 20 or 30 years - testament to how much we value and reward their contribution.
We like to give back to our employees
We offer an Employee assistance program, a mentor scheme, employee benefits portal and a very generous referral program.
Our relocation to a new office brings with it a change in working style. You’ll see spaces created for your comfort and convenience, with a focus on agility, flexibility and interacting together.
There are also lots of spaces to eat with colleagues, whether your buying from the Hive, or bringing your own lunch. Use these areas to see your teammates and enjoy your lunch and a break away from the desk.
Circle Square sits on one of the best-connected public transport routes in the North of England, so whether you’re looking to get the train, bus, tram, walk, cycle or drive, there’s an option to suit everyone.
Our core values are integrity, courage, teamwork and commitment.
