Jonathon's Graduate Story

Onwards to our company and culture…

We are GradTouch

Choosing a graduate career is a big commitment. Through sharing the unique stories of companies across the UK, we make it as simple as possible.

Our Culture

Our Culture - What we do

Situated in the heart of Manchester's Northern Quarter, we help recent grads to have a genuine and honest conversation with employers from the off. Believing stories are better shared, we visit companies across the UK to discover what they're looking for, while gathering information that will empower grads to find the right role for them.

Our small (but award winning) team is a rather random bunch; we've got graduates from Northampton, Bucharest, Dumfries and beyond, who have studied everything from History to Biology. However, we genuinely operate as one big family, welcoming new members with open arms and helping them to settle in, no matter where they're from.

We believe that a job should be far more than just a title and salary. Work is a major part of your lifestyle, which means that every day should be a positive experience. We practice what we preach; our culture is centred on ensuring every member of staff goes home feeling happy and fulfilled, both professionally and personally.

Free lunch on Fridays, a much-loved ping-pong table, flexible working hours, uncapped holidays, a fully-stocked bar, free breakfast, treats on your birthday, FIFA tournaments... The list of perks that we offer to our GradTouchers goes on and on... and on...

But it's not all fun and games. Quarterly reviews and our directors' open door policy (actually, they sit in the office with us so it's more of a 'no door' policy) means you will always have a platform, and the freedom, to share your ideas and influence the company's direction.

Incentives & Benefits

On a Friday, we all go out for lunch together ... and there are always drinks provided if people want to stay after work and start the weekend right.

With it being a small and close-knit team, it gives you the opportunity to constantly have your say.

Our Graduates - Who we are

Chris's Graduate Story

It might have been a tough decision to move [from Belfast] but ultimately the rewards and opportunities at the end of it were completely worth it.

Chris's graduate story.

  • Studied Ancient History and English at Queen's University, Belfast

  • Took a post graduate conversion in Software Development

  • Moved to Manchester to be GradTouch's Junior Developer in November 2015

  • Has since been promoted to a fully-fledged Developer

  • Enjoys the opportunities that you get from working in a smaller organisation.

I didn’t really mind where the job was going to be, as long as it was somewhere new. I found the job for GradTouch on their website… and I heard back the week after.

Katie's Graduate Story

Katie's graduate story.

  • Studied Writing, Directing and Performance at the University of York

  • Graduated in 2014 but decided to remain in York

  • Worked in local bars and cafes, before taking on a role at a local grammar school

  • Successfully applied for a Campaigns Executive role after seeing it on

  • Joined the team in July 2016, moving to Manchester to do so.

Our Future - Where we're going

Future plans for GradTouch

Joe Twigg, Commercial Director

In 2011, two recent Durham University grads embarked on a mission; after growing increasingly disillusioned by the graduate job hunt, they decided to transform the industry for the benefit of graduates and businesses everywhere.

It worked. Fast-forward five years and GradTouch is now a thriving company with over 20 employees, thousands of users up and down the country and a portfolio of big name clients, including KFC, McDonald's, Aldi, Next, Red Bull, KPMG and Deloitte.

Our aim is to help university leavers and employers to have a genuine and honest conversation from the beginning. Travelling the UK, we visit hiring companies to speak to everyone, from directors to graduates, to discover their unique stories and share these with people looking to take their first steps on the career ladder.

For both job seekers and recruiters, access to information is powerful. A company's culture truly is its greatest asset in attracting talent, and the best way to find the perfect match for candidate and client is to demonstrate this culture from the start.

We know that, with the right approach, graduates make the best employees. As a team of recent graduates ourselves, we're evidence of this. This is also what makes us unique; we don't just have an expert knowledge of the graduate job market, we also understand the trials and tribulations that many encounter after leaving university.

The future? It's looking pretty bright. Year on year, we continue to grow (this time last year, we were over half the size that we are now) and constantly innovate to improve our product.

Come and join the revolution.
