Become a Engineer at DCS

Rotate through four Engineering areas that will develop your knowledge from operational processes and procedures to the more commercial and strategic objectives.


What you will be doing

Colt Data Centre Services (DCS) has been designing, building and operating large scale data centres and providing data centre collocation services for more than 20 years at our 24 carrier-neutral data centres across Europe and Asia.

You will rotate through four Engineering areas that will develop your knowledge from operational processes and procedures to the more commercial and strategic objectives. 

  • Operations   
  • The team's focus is on maintaining and repairing all services such as power, cooling, security and fire systems as Data Centres can use the equivalent power of a small city.
  • Design   
  • They develop large hyper-scale data centres for some of our largest customers covering a number of specialisms such as cooling, electrical knowledge and computer-aided design, and work to replace, renew and refresh existing equipment.
  • Commercial and Real Estate   
  • The team are responsible for the acquisition and development of new sites as well as our product portfolio and capacity management.
  • Pre-Sales   
  • They consult with prospective customers and have expert knowledge and experience of electrical and mechanical infrastructure and will support customer installations, transitions and migrations, supporting every potential customer.

  • You have a Mechanical, Building Services or Electrical Engineering Degree
  • You are clear in your presentation, written and analytical skills
  • You have strong social skills
  • You are fluent in Spanish, German and Japanese speakers for roles in Barcelona, Frankfurt and Tokyo
