Looking for a graduate job?
Join our Audit NFP Internship Programme
For high-calibre undergraduates in their penultimate year, our summer internship programme is a fantastic opportunity to experience life and work at BDO.
What you will be doing
Working in Not-For-Profit (NFP) audit means much more than crunching numbers. Our dedicated team of NFP specialists, known to be one of the largest specialist teams in the accounting profession, are acknowledged as being the experts in delivering services to the education, social housing, charity and membership body sectors. Auditors are integral to keeping the UK financial system safe for investors and the public. As auditors we use smart questions to get to know our client’s businesses, and maintain scepticism throughout the audit process to ensure we remain impartial. At the completion of an audit we can provide constructive feedback to our clients helping to improve the business’s operations, whilst also helping stakeholders to have a full understanding of an organisation's financial performance and business risks. The NFP sector is recognised as an important and growing part of BDO’s business and is a key area of investment for the firm. Our fees continue to grow, and with over a 50% increase in the last 4 years they now exceed £26m.
BDO offer a 6 week paid Summer internship to undergraduates who are in their penultimate year of study, running from early-July to mid-August each year.
The internship kicks off with an induction week giving you the opportunity to network with your peers and new colleagues. When you hit the desk you're ready to experience life and work at BDO, whilst gaining useful insight into our business and culture. Each intern is allocated a manager and buddy to support you within your role.
During your final week we'll invite you to attend a partner presentation and interview to be considered for graduate opportunities.
