Our Culture - What we do

As a family owned business, we believe in cultivating a relaxed and friendly culture. Each of our 2,000 staff comes from a different background and has their own story to tell. Yet no matter who you are, you will always be welcomed and made to feel part of the team that you're working in. We pride ourselves on being understanding and have our employees' best interests at heart.

We follow four key values: Responsibility; Ambition; Passion for Food and Team Work. These are reflected in every thing that we do and it is these values that have ensured our continued success over the last 35 years.

Our business is dynamic and demanding. However in return, we offer the opportunity to work in a growing business, where exceptional performance is rewarded.

All of our grads receive first class training from the moment they step through our doors. In every placement, you will be supported by your managers, mentors and colleagues alike, as well as having the chance to carry out more structured training too. It is our mission to help you to progress and grow, both professionally and personally, so that you have the skills and confidence to influence the direction of the business in the future.

We're also a sociable bunch, who enjoy getting together and having a good time. You will always find groups taking a well deserved break together in our on-site canteen and we enjoy a 'dress down day' every Friday. Plus, different departments regularly arrange social activities too.

We have more formal social activities throughout the year too. Our annual conference is always great fun; a short company update, followed by dinner and a few drinks in the evening. Plus, our Christmas Party is always a merry occasion, giving us the chance to let our hair down and mark the end of the year in style.

  • Currently working as part of the Sales Team on an 18-month rotation between departments

Kepak Group is one of Europe’s leading food innovators, manufacturing and marketing a full range of meat products throughout the continent.

Founded by Dublin-based butcher Noel Keating in 1981, the company has grown into a thriving business over the last three decades; we now have over 2,000 members of staff, based in facilities across the UK and Ireland. However, we remain a family owned business to this day.

Our Kepak Convenience Foods Division is a rapidly growing business, operating from our Kirkham (near Preston) site. Producing a range of ‘Quick, Hot & Tasty’ convenience food products, including Rustlers and Feasters, it is now the category leader in many markets.

We want to remain at the top of our game. Our Marketing has already been recognised with many industry awards over the years, yet we continue to invest heavily in consumer research to develop the next generation of products.

Following our success at home, we have ambitious plans to expand into other parts of Europe – notably Holland, Germany and Belgium. Graduates are key to these plans; we welcome the new ideas and enthusiasm that they bring to the team.
