We are KFC
Part of the world's largest food group, we are the "Big Hearted Restaurant Company" offering so much more than delicious chicken and chips.

Our Culture - What we do

We are proud of our culture and our strong values influence everything we do. We believe in ‘Being Your Best Self’ and offer world-class training and development to all of our people. We are passionate about 'Making a Difference' so have launched a number of charitable initiatives to do so. Lastly, we know the importance of ‘Having Fun’ therefore always treat our staff well and say thank you for a job well done.

We coach and support every individual who joins us to reach their full potential. There will always be a friendly face for you to talk to or someone to answer your questions when you need it. We are driven to remain the company where people can grow and develop - if you want to be our next CEO, we will help you to get there.

We will offer you the chance to work with a variety of people, many of whom you wouldn't get to know anywhere else. Whether you're based in store or at HQ, you will be encouraged to be yourself; we are famous for being Original, after all.

Recognition is fundamental to the way we work; we will always show our appreciation to you for going above and beyond. In fact, we were named by the JobCrowd as the ‘Top Company for Graduates to Work For’ in 2015 and have been recognised by the Top Employers Institute as a ‘Top Employer’ and a ‘Great Place to Work’ for the last 6 years. Treating our people right is an important part of our brand.

We are a fun company to be a part of and there are always plenty of social events to get involved in - whether it's simply going for a drink after work, enjoying a cake sale at lunch or taking on team challenges such as Tough Mudder at weekends.

The reason I decided to apply was because of the unparalleled leadership opportunities.
People who succeed at KFC are people who are able to take the skills that they've learnt from other experiences and apply them.

Our Graduates - Who we are

It's somewhere where you can come in, you can be happy at work and you can get stuck in... You can truly be your best self.
I really love teaching people, learning from others and developing others around me. This was something that I didn't realise was such a driver in KFC.

Our Future - Where we're going

Ed Evans, Head of Education and Recruitment
Colonel Sanders was an Original, a creative genius and relentless in everything he did. He opened his first restaurant in 1955 in Kentucky before going bust at 65. However, undeterred, he started again and hit success when KFC was established in 1965. We love and respect that and follow in his way; we celebrate originality and tenacity.
Fast-forward over 50 years and we are now part of Yum! Restaurants; the world's largest restaurant company. We employ more than 24,000 people in the UKI in over 850 restaurants, deliver £1 billion in sales and open around 35 new restaurants each year.
As we're sure you know, we sell chicken and chips with that delicious blend of 11 herbs and spices invented by the Colonel all those years ago. However, not many realise that all of our chicken on the bone is British and Red Tractor Approved.
Growing roots in our community is at the centre of our drive to be ‘A Big Hearted Restaurant Company’ and something we take very seriously. We work together with our customers to raise over £1 million every year for the United Nations World Food Programme. We are also proud of our partnership with Barnados, providing work experience placements and permanent employment to many young people. Plus, in May 2014, we launched our Food Donation Scheme, which sees us donate our unsold chicken to local charities.
Our future in the UK is looking incredibly bright; we have plans to extend to 1,000 restaurants in the next three to five years and we will be launching some new Marketing products, which we are really passionate about.
Our HR team will also be making the retention and engagement of employees a real priority - we want to ensure everyone who joins us, at every level, can be their best selves.
