What we do
We offer young people in the UK the chance to change their life - and many others' - forever. With a presence in 10 countries worldwide, we work with local volunteers to support community projects that provide communities with better education, opportunities to earn a decent living, and access to effective health care and services as well as protecting their environment.
Volunteer personal development is a key part of ICS, alongside making a difference overseas, we work to build and develop our volunteers. Volunteers benefit from comprehensive training as part of the programme, they take part in a challenging overseas placement and support work at home. This builds vital transferable skills that contribute towards personal development and finding a job.

In a recent survey of our volunteers:
