We are Ealing Mencap
We campaign for people’s rights, create opportunities, showcase our customers’ talents and skills and break down barriers to overcome isolation and change lives.

Our Culture - What we do

Ealing Mencap was formed in by a group of parents in 1965. For over 50 years we have been campaigning and supporting people with learning disabilities, and pride ourselves on always putting our customers first. Our invaluable services support thousands of people every single year.

There are over a thousand adults and maybe four hundred children with learning disabilities in Ealing. We believe people with learning disabilities need the same opportunities as everyone else, but on their terms. To this end, we run a range of projects and provide advice to support these individuals in their daily lives.

Ealing Mencap is an equal opportunities employer and employs people from a wide range of backgrounds. What all our staff have in common is a supporting, passionate and welcoming attitude. We also actively encourage applications from people with learning disabilities.

We are also a well known and reputable charity. We are a passionate and diverse organisation, who will aim to bring the best out of you as a graduate.
This is a place where expertise is nurtured: some members of our team have been here for over ten years, and are always happy to support your training and development as you settle into your new role.
Our vision is for everyone that we support to have the opportunity in life to reach their potential.
Our mission is to campaign for people’s rights, create opportunities, showcase our customer’s talents and skills and break down barriers to overcome isolation and change lives.

To help us achieve this we have a set of values that are at the heart of everything we do. These values underpin our approach to performance, reward and well being and define the relationship between the charity and our employees. Our values are to be...
Brave: We have the courage to demand better for everyone we work with, challenge ourselves and always learn from our experiences.
Innovative: With our customer in the centre of everything we do, we explore new ideas to give our customers support to reach their potential.
Respectful: We treat everyone with respect and dignity.
Approachable: We are always there to listen to our customer and partners.

All our staff have a passion for making a difference to people with learning disabilities.
